What is Christian salvation?

I am a Christian and I suggest that it is the best decision you will ever make.

The Word of God, the Bible, contains all the instructions for living this life.

By the sacrifice Jesus Christ made on the cross, he has provided salvation for every person alive today. Jesus Christ has already accepted you!

You don't need any money, salvation is free, Jesus died for you and he died for me.

If you have not already accepted the Lord's gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, do it right now. Tell Him you are sorry for all your sins (doing what God hates), and ask for Jesus Christ to forgive you for every one of those sins. Thank him for the sacrifice he made for you on the cross to pay the price of all your sins. Then tell Jesus you want to put your life into his hands. You want to live your life the way the Bible tells you how to live. Turn away from doing what God doesn't like and live your life for Jesus, then when you do something God doesn't like (by accident) you can ask for Jesus' forgiveness. The words themselves will not save you. Only faith in Jesus Christ can provide salvation.

The Bible contains a basic "roadmap" to gain this salvation.

A good "roadmap" for you to follow is found in the following verses from the Bible:

Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (KJV)

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (KJV)

Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (NASB)

Romans 10:9
that if you confess with your mouth Jesus [as] Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; (NASB)

A suggested and simple prayer you can pray is:
Jesus, I know I have done a lot of bad things throughout my life and I am really sorry for doing them. I need your help to live life the way you want be to. Thank you, Jesus, for your sacrifice you did on the cross a long time ago. You died for all my sins. You did not stay on the cross, but you were raised from the dead. I accept your sacrifice and believe you made me right with a holy and perfect God. Thank you for saving me, Jesus!

Remember, it is not the words that save you, it is all through Christ's sacrifice.

It is by faith you are saved, not by works (what you do).
Your next step would be to find (and go to) a good Bible teaching church in your area.
